“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock.” Matthew 7:24-25
Pastor Wibur’s iglesia (church) is still in the building stage…both in its relationship with the community and in terms of its physical structure. Today, after three and a half days work, the church’s foundation was finished, built firmly on the rock of Jesus Christ and his love.
The community and its people showed us a deeper meaning of love, unity, and what brothers and sisters in Christ truly looks like. The relationships we’ve built have been built firmly on the solid foundation of Christ and as we head back to North America, we will leave behind a piece of our hearts and take with us a piece of theirs.
As a part of Trader’s Point Christian Church , we are leaving Nicaragua having become molded and shaped…looking more like Christ as we are leaving, than when we came.
