August Nicaragua Construction and Equipping Team Ready to Go

Packing Day

After months of preparation – prayer, supply gathering, organization and more prayer – 13 of us are ready for our week in Nicaragua.  Today was the final team gathering before we meet bright and early next Saturday, Aug 20, at the airport, and we joined together to pack 13 totes of supplies that have been generously donated.  With everything from school supplies and baseball equipment to medical supplies, teaching materials, toys and games, we can’t wait to see what God has in store for us next week.

We do have a tentative plan for our week, but our experienced team members have told us plans are good, but God leads when we get there. We do know we’ll be finishing up electrical work at the new church building; spending a couple days teaching and discipling with middle and high schoolers; and another 2-3 days doing the same with the adults.  The rest is completely dependent on God, and the needs expressed by the local Nicaraguan church leadership.

As we have internet service available, we’ll post pictures and information on our week.  Until then, please do pray for safe travel, health and safety during our week in Nicaragua and, most importantly, that we show His love and spirit in all we do.

This is for Kim Biggerstaff – Kim I presume you are having an incredible time and experience. We are all very proud of you donating your time to help the people of Nicaragua.

If at all possible, if you have the opportunity and capability, would you bring back some Nicaraguan cigars for me? I’m sure you and everyone is laughing right now! Hey, if you can get CAO Gold Maduro. Size: Robusto (5.1 x 54) that would be wonderful. I know beggars can’t be choosy.

    Anyway, love you!

    Ron
