But most of all…LOVE

Sunday morning…Church in Marthare Valley!!  No better place to worship than with the community we came to serve, Missions of Hope in Bondeni.  Our team of 16 hopped on the bus and headed into Bondeni to share the gospel with our native friends.  Pulling into Bondeni, children were anxiously awaiting our arrival.  Two children were at the gates waiting to open them when we arrived. Children were playing soccer with a trash bag rolled up and taped to make it a ball, while others moved large rocks so we wouldn’t run over them with our bus.  They couldn’t be more than 7 or 8 years old; some as young as 3 or 4.

Upon parking our bus, I was the first one to hop out, and “WOW” the love of the children was overwhelming!  They rushed to my side holding up their hands wanting me to pick them up and hugging my legs.  The excitement they showed to have us there!!  Mixed emotions consumed me.  Those feelings of the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, but most of all… LOVE.

The children really just wanted receive our love!  So for the next few hours, that is what we, as servants of GOD, had the amazing blessing to do.  We worshipped praised, and studied the word of God.  Two entirely different cultures, with a huge language barrier to overcome, but one huge purpose to be there…Honor our GOD…  How Blessed!  Cant’ wait until tomorrow…

So glad to know that God blessed you with safe travels to the Marthare Valley. The picture says so much and I know that all the children and the people will receive so much from the Kenya Team. But I am also sure that The Team will be blessed many times over with what they receive from the people they have gone to care for. Blessings to you all.
