“Here I am. Send Me!”

Jes

Isaiah 6:8 “Then I heard the voice of The Lord say ‘whom shall I send? Who will go?’ And I said, ‘Here I am. Send Me!'” This is exactly how I felt when I was first asked to go to Africa with Dr. Bopp. Send me, please send me. Please God give me the direction I need to go and serve the people of the Mathare Valley. Let me see what you have done, what you need me to do. Let me see the beauty among the despair. Let me see you, let me see you clearer. Change me!

It was our last day of the clinic Friday the 13th of September with the amazing children and staff of Bondeni. The last day to lay hands on the beautiful people of Bondeni and serving communities. I can’t quite explain the emotions I woke up with. Excitement and sadness were overwhelming.

We had an amazing day. We served so many faces today. Each beautiful in their own way. What a blessing to be a part of their life. We were a part of their groundbreaking ceremony for the new school on that land. The singing and praying had to be heard throughout the community.  Mary Kamau says she “never says the sky is the limit because God does not stop at the sky so we shouldn’t either”. What an amazing women, with unreachable faith that pours out of her soul.

We ended the day with an amazing ceremony given by the children and staff of Bondeni. They sang and danced. We all rejoiced together for “we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” Romans 8:28

As I had asked, God I see what you have placed before me. I see the beauty in every touch and every face. I see you everywhere around me. I see you clearly!

Thank you God, for sending me! God, I am forever grateful!
