Today is day 2 in Nicaragua. Even though it is early in the trip, I can already see God moving. Today we got the opportunity to assist 10 dental students in doing “cleanings” on some students at TAV school, which is located in the Oriental Market. In addition to assisting the students, I also got the opportunity to speak to the high school students about peer pressure and staying strong in their faith through the chaos of being a teenager. A group of us helped Dr. Karla and her medical staff to do educational programs on dental care, hand washing, peer pressure, and nutrition for every class at the school. We maximized our efforts by sending 3 of our team members on the exciting task of handing out sponsorship gifts. Because of the love and generosity of the TPCC sponsors, they handed out over 120 sponsorship gifts at 2 schools. The team tried hard to convey that God is the provider of all gifts and that their sponsors pray for them and are proud of them.Even while I am sitting here blogging, the rest of our group is lead a marriage seminar and Wilma is leading a children’s church lesson for children of seminar couples.
