My teenage daughter and I joined the Traders Point Monterrey missions trip this summer and had no idea how impactful this trip would be to us. We were going to love on the kids in the children’s home and do some repairs to their living areas. We did do that and it was a great experience but we were most impacted by the relationships we made on our team and with the interns and staff and other groups staying at Back2Back. There is something about leaving the comforts of your home and living with people you don’t know that can bring your walls down and open you up to connecting more with people and God. The highlight of the trip for me was when my teenage daughter told me she wanted to rededicate her life to Jesus and wanted to be baptized! Seeing our team and people from the other church teams surround my daughter and lift her up in prayer and encouragement was the most amazing feeling for a mom to experience.
